Fred Hussey

One of the oldest towns to be amalgamated into the city of Mississauga, Clarkson is a neighbourhood with a rich history of early settlers. When first established, the Clarkson family ran the town general store and post office. Mississauga's two most important historical museums—the Benares House and Bradley Museum—are both located in Clarkson, offering insight into early life in this region. Clarkson also boasts the beautiful Rattray Marsh, the only remaining lakefront marsh between Burlington and Toronto, and an excellent area for wildlife spotting with well-maintained boardwalks and trails. A quiet neighbourhood with plenty of trees and large lot sizes, Clarkson is a highly sought-after residence for many Mississauga families.
